Group Puppy Socialization & Obedience

This series of classes is great for teaching the puppy bite inhibition, problem solving, basic obedience commands and creating an awesome relationship with your puppy. Positive reinforcement is emphasized. Puppies should be at least 12 weeks of age and have had at least their first vaccinations. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test will be given the last session, if requested.

This series of classes is great for teaching basic obedience commands, problem solving and creating an awesome relationship with your dog. Positive reinforcement is emphasized. Dogs should be up-to-date on their vaccinations. The Canine Good Citizen test will be given the last class, if requested.

These classes are great for proofing basic obedience commands, taking the next step towards preparing your dog for numerous dog sports or for therapy volunteering, and creating an awesome relationship with your dog. Positive reinforcement is emphasized. Dogs should be up-to-date on their vaccinations.

Advanced Obedience

Beginning Agility

Agility is a competitive sport designed to test a person's training and dog handling skills over a timed obstacle course.  During the course we work on learning the basics of doing jumps, tunnels, contacts, tables and weave poles.

Therapy Dog Class

Have your dog apply advanced obedience skills and learn the additional skills needed to be an excellent Therapy Dog. Cost is for two classes of proofing exercises and scenarios and then three field trips. There is no charge for therapy dog testing and the three observations necessary to become registered through Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Inc.

Private Home Training

Instead of doing a group class, consider doing private training at your house. Classes can either use the curriculum of the group classes or be more customized to include relevant behavioral issues.

($45 per session plus traveling cost)

Board & Train

Have your dog practice and improve basic obedience commands or resolve issues while being boarded at any of the participating kennels in Salida. Sessions last 10-15 minutes each and there can be up to two sessions per day. Owners are asked to meet prior to the boarding to demonstrate the dog’s current skills and then after boarding to be shown what techniques have been used.

Pre-Puppy Class Coaching

Get coached on important deadlines of owning a puppy; from deciding on getting a puppy until its of age to join a puppy class (at three months of age)

First Aid

With the use of a canine mannequin, learn these basic skills that could help save your dog's life or the life of a friend or family member’s pet.
