Laura Pintane is Salida’s local “dog listener.”

Laura Pintane is the founder and owner of Laura's Dog Training and has trained over 1,000 dogs locally. Her 30+ years of professional dog training experience include working for Canine Companions for Independence, “a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dog and ongoing support to ensure quality partnership.”

As an advocate of positive reinforcement and the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) approach, Laura considers herself a “dog listener.” Her classes stress the importance of developing a trusting bond and emphasize problem solving and tools to teach behaviors.
